This set up has worked okay for us for the last year, but there are a few drawbacks, especially if you have several pairs of skis to work on. It doesnât use a vice in the center to stabilize the ski, instead you use what is in essence a stiff rubber band to fix the ski in place under the heel piece in front of your rear binding. I am very happy with this ski vise. It seems to be well made, and I have found it quite easy to work with. So far, I have only used this vise to tune / wax skis, and although you could probably make it work with a snow board, it appears to be designed mainly for skis. The only possible fail point that I can see is the rubber strap used to secure the binding to the center clamp. Mine has not broken, but if it did, it could be game-over if tuning / waxing the night before a ski trip. I…
