Swix BP99 Base Prep Ski Wax – 180 grams 2012 – Swix’s BP99 Base Prep Ski wax for alpine skis and snowboards is excellent for normal winter conditions. This is a special CH blend requested by World Cup technicians for use during initial base preparation. It is economical yet still made with a blend of the highest quality paraffins and microcrystalline waxes. It is a soft wax with a low melting point, and is recommended to be the first wax on all new skis to get the base material accustomed to hot irons. BP99 is also commonly used in hot box treatments to reduce the risk of ski delamination. .
