Too much heel lift for skiing I skied on these for almost a season. I was very frustrated because I was having trouble getting consistent pressure on my tips, my tails kept breaking loose, my quads hurt and generally felt off balance – especially off piste. Very Happy – High Volume and Warm I’m very (5 stars) happy with my purchase, but you should read all the reviews if you’re considering the Red Hot. It is true that these footbeds are ‘high volume’ so keep that in mind if you are considering them. I previously used the green Superfeet plus a pair of simple shoe liners (the $3 kind you can get anywhere) inserted underneath the Superfeet to take top-to-bottom volume out of my boots (Lange RX110). These took a couple of days to break in as the heel cup is a harder plastic. However, once they were broken in they were very comfortable to wear, they follow me between shoes now. They’re also very effective for keeping in heat and not losing it to the pavement. I put them to the test working a long string of nights downtown, all on concrete and asphalt where the heat had been getting sucked out of my feet and they were great.
