Good item.. Used this twice on two trips now.They can be used on most car racks.I have a removable set of racks that this worked with on two different cars.Never had problem with it coming loose over several hundred mile trips.When the skis are not on the car I am using the carrier to keep the skis together.It can be a little tricky to get the poles and skis set in it at first. Never used it without poles but I guess you could.The strap on the rear can be a little tricky…
Works and doesn’t bust your wallet I usually head out to XC ski on my own so only need a single pair of skis. I used to transport them inside my hatch, but that means getting my interior wet as the snow melts. I’ve been looking for a product like this to transport a single pair of skis. This product works fairly well. You simple loosen the knob to mount the skis and then turn it tight to secure. In reality, “under a minute” advertised is more like 5 minutes.
