Perfect for ski trips. Ski gear, flyfishing gear, etc. It works great on a Nissan Armada. It’s not waterproof but I caulked all of the bolt holes that aren’t in use. I have driven in rain, snow, & sleet and haven’t had water inside the box yet. I have had 185cm skies in it with no problem. Install can be pretty easy if you have aftermarket racks as they tend to sit a bit higher off the roof. Factory crossbars on my Yukon made it a bit more difficult as you couldn’t reach underneath very well so you have to go in from the opposite side as well. Just pay attention to where the various plates go and you’ll be good. The carrier, when installed, was really solid. Absolutely no movement, etc after 7+ hour drive traveling upwards…
