Runs Small, Has Large Vents This helmet met our expectations of quality from Smith Optics.Styling and appearance:The matte white is attractive and the dots are nice as well.Comfort:There are limited venting options, but the helmet never seems to get too hot for my daughter (YMMV). Some of the higher end helmets offer a slider to adjust the vents without taking off the helmet. This model has 3 internal velcro flaps to modify venting. The flaps work just fine for her… but she doesn’t…
This version is the cheap version with very thin padding and it feels like the hard plastic is sitting right in your head This helmet runs small and has large vents not shown in the picture.I’m always cold when skiing, and the bicycle-style, vented helmets are much too cold for me. I thought this was going to be warmer since it has no vents shown in the picture, and there are vents in the back of the helmet (not shown). In order to “cover” the vents, it has flimsy velcro flaps on the underside of the helmet that doesn’t sufficiently cover the holes.At least my current vented…
