This is a perfect cast cover! I don’t know how anyone could improve on this. I needed this to keep my foot from getting wet after surgery. I had a pin sticking out of my toe (for four weeks) and it ABSOLUTELY could not get wet for fear of infection. After looking at all of the options this seemed like the perfect solution. If your foot or ankle is just bandaged this will probably work just fine. The picture on the box is deceiving While the product seems to be OK for some situations but in my particular case, the plastic ring will not get past the heal of my cast. I might add that it is not a particularly large cast and it ends mid-way of the calf. So, I have yet to have the opportunity to actually try this product out to test it’s shower worthiness.
