The edge tool is a step up due to its ability to do a 1 degree base edge and two side angles (89/88 or 1/2 degrees). These are the most common angles for all skis/boards. Also, the tool will accept 70 mm diamond stones for fine honing of the edge without metal removal. Consider adding a blue DMT or yellow Moonflex stone.
