They have a Softshell back that is 100% water proof and the palm is made from the extremely durable Clarino synthetic leather. They are reinforced between the thumb and index finger to stop them from wearing out from holding ski poles or other objects. They are designed for Cross Country Skiing but are also great for Snowboarding, Alpine Skiing or even just shoveling the driveway.
