It is a short, wide ski with macro fish-scale base that allows you to shuffle across, climb up and ski down deep snow covered terrain. Threaded inserts allow for no-drill mounting of common bindings: works with standard three pin bindings, NNN, SNS and Berwins.

… had these for a few years and get some great use out of these a few times a year … Have had these for a few years and get some great use out of these a few times a year when a bigger storms (8+ inches) roll into the Mid-Atlantic area. I use these in some steep, hilly but not mountainous, wooded areas that I ride mountain bikes on the rest of the year. This is NOT a replacement for a real touring setup, but for areas that get a few decent storms a year and are a skier, are much more fun than snowshoes. Great for breaking trail…
Terrific if you know when to use them These are amazing “skis” if you know when and where to use them.I ski on the east coast (Vermont), and these are almost a must have, given how unpredictable and lousy our snow conditions can be.
