The K2 OoolaLuv 85 Ti is a ripping all mountain ski designed for women who like to ski the whole mountain. It’s designed and constructed to hold up to pretty aggressive skiing, but is still relatively lightweight. This is achieved by using K2’s women’s specific Bioflex core that uses a combination of aspen and paulownia wood and pairing it with metal laminates. Because the wood core is relatively light it keeps the overall weight of the OoolaLuv pretty low even with those metal laminates. Metal provides a very damp, stable feel, which makes it a great construction material for skiers who like to go fast and ski aggressively over chopped up snow and variable terrain. The OoolaLuv 85 Ti has, you guessed it, an 85 mm waist width. This width and the shape of the ski make it quite versatile. It’s quick edge to edge on groomers and the wood core and metal laminates provide plenty of torsional stiffness so you can hold an edge through an aggressive carving turn. When you take it off the groomers the All Terrain rocker profile boosts maneuverability and forgiveness. You can tackle terrain like moguls and trees without feeling like the ski is holding you back, although they’re a touch narrow for powder conditions.
