CRS Cross Skaters Kit contains two (2) CRS Cross Ankle Gel Sleeves, two (2) CRS Cross Gel Discs and the CRS Cross designed Mesh Zipped Bag. They are used to break in new skating boots or other footwear in sports such as figure skating, hockey, skiing, rollerblading, roller / inline skating, and hiking boots.
CRS Cross Gel Sleeves are comfortable gel inside an elastic sleeve to ease ankle pain caused from hard boots, prevent abrasions from the top of boots, and diminish pain from lace bite. CRS Cross Gel Sleeves provide more elastic and a snugger fit than other brands to prevent slipping inside boot or while putting boot on foot. Perfect for women and children but will stretch for men’s sizes. One size fits most, 3 inch wide by 5 inch length.
CRS Cross Gel Discs are used by athletes to reduce shock, vibration, and pressure on ankles. Place the Discs against the skin, underneath either socks or stockings. The natural stickiness of the gel reduces movement. The Discs are washable and reusable, bacteria resistant and hypoallergenic. 100% Medical Grade Quality soft gels are used to ensure the highest quality and most effective gel padding.
The CRS Cross Mesh Zipper Bag is designed specifically to air dry both the Gel Sleeve as well as the Gel Discs between uses.

I purchased this after reading the reviews on a number of similar items and this issue wasn’t mentioned in the reviews that I read. One of the advertised reasons to use this disc or sleeve is to protect the skin in people who have surgical hardware in their ankles. I have had ankle surgery and have hardware in the side ankle bone that makes buying athletic and hiking shoes difficult.
